Attention all K-drams fans! Two of South Korea’s most prominent actresses, Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee team up for a thrilling new drama, ‘The Price of Confession’. The upcoming K-drama has already generated a lot of buzz, with fans persistently waiting for its release. Here’s everything we know about The Price of Confession so far, is it a queer K-drama?
‘The Price of Confession’ has been going rounds on the internet since way back in August 2022. At that time, both actresses’ agencies respectively, received offers for roles in the upcoming K-drama. Now Hye Kyo and So Hee confirm their lead roles for this thriller drama, through a ‘lovestagram’.
Will ‘The Price of Confession’ be a queer K-drama?: The online buzz
The news of Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee’s collaboration garnered significant buzz online. Fans are excited to see two powerhouse actresses sharing the screen for the first time, with many hoping for a dynamic and intense performance. In an Instagram Story last March 16, Han So Hee posted an edited mirror photo of Hye Kyo with her in the mirror. It looks seemingly real though, and even Song Hye Kyo reposted it on her account. A drama of the year nominee? We’re up for this!
Adding to the hype is the speculation that The Price of Confession could be a “girls love” (GL) series, which would depict a romantic relationship between the two female characters.
- Han So Hee’s Instagram comments on Song Hye Kyo’s posts led to this speculation. In Hye Kyo’s post after the release of The Glory Part 2, So Hee may have dropped a ‘flirtatious’ comment on the post. The actress wrote “이제는 내꺼야…” [And now, she’s mine…]
- She didn’t stop there though. So Hee commented on a July 2022 post of Hye Kyo saying, “나도!! 나도 여기서 사진찍었눈데!!!!!!!!“ [Me too!! I also took a picture here too!!!!!!!!] Well, Hye Kyo replied to her saying, 담엔 같이 찐자!!!!!!! [Let’s take it together next time!!!!!!!]
They’re having their ‘lovestagram’ moment for a while. Hye Kyo returned the favor and liked a few posts of So Hee as well. Will it be GL K-drama? There’s no confirmation about that yet, but pretty sure we can expect more information once production starts. But if it comes out as a GL, pretty sure this would be huge in South Korea, and internationally too.

Song Hye Kyo has long been a fixture in the South Korean entertainment industry, with a career spanning more than two decades. She rose to fame in the early 2000s with her roles in hit dramas like Autumn in My Heart, Full House, and Descendants of the Sun. Her performance in The Glory earned her critical acclaim, and her upcoming role in ‘The Price of Confession’ is expected to be no different.
