Studio Ghibli’s recent production Kimitachi wa Do Ikiru Ka, also known as ‘How Do You Live?‘ is a film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It has been named after Genzaburo Yoshino’s 1937 novel by the same name.

The narration of the story is extremely peculiar. The narrator constantly shifts between Koperu and his uncle and we see them dealing with themes like poverty, self-development, and spiritual growth.
Miyazaki has therefore attempted to alleviate this spectrum of themes and he will be focusing on the workings of the human mind in a conflicted human experience through the use of artistic as well as fantastical elements.

How Do You Live? or Kimitachi wa Do Ikiru Ka is set to release across Japan on July 14, 2023. However, it has delayed its premiere across significant film festivals and has refrained from releasing any possible dates for a worldwide release.
