One Piece is a popular anime series illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has around 105 volumes and has been running since 1997 till now. There are many popular characters in One Piece and we will be discussing the relationship between two such popular characters, Trafalgar Law and Sengoku. This will answer the widely asked question if Trafalgar Law and Sengoku are related.
Characters and their relationship:
To understand the relation between Law and Sengoku, we need to know more about these characters and another character, Rosinante.
Trafalgar Law

- Trafalgar D. Law often referred to as the “surgeon of death” is a pirate and the captain of Heart Pirates.
- He is a tough, rude character and hates Marines unless the name is Corazon.
- Like other pirates, he dreams of finding One Piece and is also the only survivor of a Town named Flevance, which is affected by Amber lead syndrome.
- He managed to become one of the Seven Warlords of Sea, but his position was officially canceled for siding with Straw Hat Pirates.
Sengoku

- Sengoku the Buddha is a tall, muscular man with a braided goatee.
- He is a former fleet admiral of the Marines, and often prioritizes justice over anything else. He retired from his leadership position but stays as a general inspector in the Marines.
- Ironic from his epithet, Sengoku can be loud and violent at times even though he was calm in most situations.
Rosiante and his relationship with Law and Sengoku

Rosiante is the descent from the Donquixote family and he served as an elite officer for Donquixote Pirates under Doflamingo. He worked under the codename Corazon. Although, the reality was a bit different as he was an undercover Marine commander working to bring down Doflamingo. Doflamingo finds this out with the help of former Corazon and executes him.
- Rosiante is the guy Trafalgar owes his life to. Rosiante helps escape Law from Donquixote pirates and helps him find a cure for his Amber lead disease. Hence, he is cherished by Law.
“Walk, Law. Unnoticed…quietly…far away…far, far away…nothing will bind you anymore…not the iron borders of the White City…nor your shortened lifespan. Nothing will restrict you anymore. You are now…truly free.” These were Rosiante’s final words to Law.
- Rosiante is raised by Sengoku as his son alongside X Drake. He was highly trusted and loved by Sengoku and taken into marine after the death of his actual dad. Sengoku later learned that Rosiante has lied just once to him all his life and wanted to talk to Law about his death to seek some closure on it.
Conclusion
Law and Sengoku talk to each other after Rosiante’s death. During the conversation, Law was unexpectedly respectful and quiet and he hasn’t been in front of any other character. Although Sengoku is devastated by his son’s death and screams at Law, Law remains polite and this may be because of the admiration he felt towards Sengoku for being the father figure for the person he loved the most.
Sengoku on the other hand wishes to arrest Law and ask questions about his son’s death, but he doesn’t as he wants to respect his son’s dying wish and let the pirate go free and live his life.

So in conclusion they are related in a weird way, where Trafalgar Law admires Sengoku for bringing up Rosiante and Sengoku letting Law go freely because of learning that Sengoku gave his life for Law.
