One Piece 1089 Spoilers: Can Luffy and the Straw Hats escape from Egghead?

One Piece 1089 Spoilers have finally surfaced and seems like things aren’t looking great for our beloved Straw Hats. After a long absence in the manga, Luffy and his crew finally make an appearance, however, the scenario is not in their favor.

According to One Piece 1089 spoilers, Kizaru and Saturn are headed to Egghead Island, accompanied by a lot of Vice Admirals. Can Luffy and the Straw Hats escape from Egghead? Let’s find out.

The World Government’s Move

Egghead Island is one of the most important locations in the entire Grand Line, for both the Marines and the Pirates alike. In One Piece 1088, we found out that Straw Hats have claimed Egghead as their own territory.

• This obviously would’ve been a huge shock to the World Government and the Marines, especially since the very first move made by Luffy after he became an Emperor is to take over Vegapunk’s Headquarters.
• While we already knew that Kizaru and Saturn were headed towards Egghead, it seems like the Marines and the World Government aren’t pulling any punches due to the significance of Egghead Island.
• Saturn and Kizaru by themselves are forced to be reckoned with, but when they’re backed by a lot of Vice Admirals, according to the spoilers, it does feel like a cause for concern.

Fate of the Straw Hats

Undoubtedly, all of the Straw Hats have grown stronger since the Wano Arc’s inception, especially the primary combatants Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe. Even the weaker ones are capable of handling their own in a fight or at least defending themselves to a certain extent.

• However, this time the threat they’re facing seems astronomically insurmountable.
• One of the strongest Marine Admirals, one of the Five Elders, and multiple Vice Admirals.
• This line-up sounds like a Buster Call from hell. Even with Gear 5, Luffy can at best handle either Kizaru or Saturn while Zoro handles the other.
• However, the rest of the Straw Hats, Vegapunk, and his satellites need to find a way to somehow defeat or at least get past the alleged arsenal of Vice Admirals.

War Against the Government 

Assuming that somehow through some type of interference or some gimmick of Vegapunk and Franky, the Straw Hats manage to escape, what comes next? For starters, an Emperor cannot ‘Escape’ from his own territory. And knowing Luffy, that’d be the last thing he’d want to do.

• Still, given the circumstances alleged in One Piece 1089 spoilers and the sheer manpower they’d be against, the Straw Hats are severely outnumbered and to a lesser extent, outclassed.
• We still have very little info about Gear 5 and its capabilities from a combat perspective. Not to mention we’ve hardly seen Kizaru use his powers, much less Saturn.
• The only feasible way through which the Straw Hats can assure their victory is through some form of external interference.
• Whether we’d get to see an entirely new character or someone who’s stayed in the shadows for too long is yet to be seen.

Conclusion

Since the Straw Hats are currently quite far away from many of their known allies, predicting the outcome of Egghead Island happens to be a very difficult task. However, this info is based on leaked spoilers, so we’ll only know how Oda has decided to navigate this part of the narrative once the official chapter comes out.
