Fate/strange Fake is a Japanese light novel series in Type-Moon’s Fate franchise, written by Ryōgo Narita and illustrated by Morii Shizuki. Fate/strange Fake began as an April Fool joke by Narita before it was launched in 2015.
The novel is set in an alternate universe where numerous groups battle for the Holy Grail in a fictional US town called Snowfield.
