What is the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’?Â
With the MCU streaming its content on the Disney+ platform, the scope of viewing the marvel movies expanded exponentially. However, one of the best parts is seeing characters larger than life, not just on the silver screen but on your television. That being said, GOTG Holiday Special is a television program written and directed by James Gunn. It will exclusively stream on the Disney+ platform for all subscribers.Â

Well, first things first. This IS a holiday special, which means the plot is likely rooted in the spirit of Christmas, holidays, and gift-giving. From what’s been revealed in the trailer, Drax and Mantis visit earth to try and get Peter Quill, aka Starlord, a present for Christmas to cheer him up after the 2014 timeline Gamora parted ways with him in the current timeline.Â
If two of the funniest and most wholesome GOTG characters searching for a present on earth during the holiday season isn’t enough, they had to bring in the legendary Kevin Bacon to stir the pot. One of Peter Quill’s fondest memories of the earth is the portrayal of Kevin Bacon in Footloose. By the looks of what’s going on in the trailer, Drax and Mantis aren’t going to take a no from Bacon.Â
