Steph Curry to Return Early
Stephen Curry was performing brilliantly this season. However, he left the team at loss with the Pacers on December 14th because of a shoulder injury. Although his absence hindered them at first with losses in three of their next four games, the Warriors fought back with five consecutive wins.
- On January 4, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced that on January 13, when his team goes against the Spurs at the Alamodome, Curry is expected to return to the game. Fast forward to January 9 and the good news in store for GSW’s fans is that Curry has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday’s game against the Suns.
- According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Steph Curry was expected to miss a few weeks because of his shoulder injury. Later during Christmas, GSW announced Steph Curry’s status as “making good progress” and would be back in two weeks. This announcement kept him on the same timeline that Kerr announced last week.
- People are expecting a good change in the game due to Curry’s return thanks to his stats for this season. Through 26 games, Curry is averaging 30.0 points, 6.8 assists, and 6.6 rebounds while shooting 50.0% from the field and 43.4% from the 3-point range.

Details About Steph Curry’s Injury
Curry left Golden State Warrior’s loss to Indiana on December 14 due to a left shoulder injury. Sharing more details, the team later announced that Curry had experienced a left shoulder subluxation.
- The player suffered the injury during the third quarter while attempting to strip the ball from Pacers forward Jalen Smith. People saw him immediately pull away, double over, and grab at his left shoulder, prompting the team to call a timeout and get him out of the game.
- His expected early return brings joy to his fans and excitement to the game. On the other hand, the trade date is getting closer and GSW is drifting in the rumor of not partaking in this year’s trade.

NBA insiders say they don’t foresee the GSW making any trade this season. Currently, they have a 20-20 record while at this stage last season, they were 30-10. Mainly, they seem to find difficulty in discovering the right balance between winning and developing their young talent. This led many to expect the team to trade off their struggling youngsters.
- As per rumors, James Wiseman is the most likely player to be traded. However, the Warriors are standing by him. It also appears that Golden State is planning to ride out the season with everyone they have, according to NBA insiders.

- During The Fast Break Broadcast with Brett Siegel, the insider shared that according to the information he has so far, it seems GSW is more than willing to sit back this year. They aren’t likely to make moves unless they truly get an offer that they can’t turn down. It just doesn’t feel like Wiseman or Kuminga, whom the Warriors are very high on, are available right now.
- In this, C.J. Holmes adds that he too doesn’t foresee them making any moves. He believes GSW isn’t ready to give up on the James Wiseman experiment. They have seen the slow progress he is making and Bob Myers’ two-timeline plan is still alive. Therefore, the Warriors are riding that thing out.
