After a much anticipated five-year absence, Zendaya made her way back to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this time taking on the role of co-chair of the annual Met Gala. Together with her longtime stylist, Law Roach, a close friend, Zendaya created an effortlessly stylish outfit that is likely to become a classic.
A Work of Art Inspired by Nature
Zendaya donned a stunning Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano creation, drawing inspiration from a 1999 Dior dress.
“The one-shouldered gown featured a long trumpet skirt adorned with royal-blue and emerald-green diagonal stripes, complemented by fruit-like embellishments adorning one side of the waist. A net mesh and tulle-feathered fascinator completed the look, adding a touch of whimsy to the ensemble.”

Memorable Met Gala Moments
Zendaya’s participation at the Met Gala is always a highlight because she never fails to dazzle with her excellent elegance and inventiveness. When it comes to dressing like a contemporary Joan of Arc or embracing lavish flowers, Zendaya never fails to attract attention and inspire.
A Return to the Met Gala Stage
Many people were excited to see Zendaya at the Met Gala again after a five-year absence. During her final 2019 appearance, she donned Cinderella’s light-up Tommy Hilfiger outfit, fully embracing the fairytale elements of the “Camp” theme. Due to scheduling conflicts, she hasn’t been able to attend since, but her successful return in 2024 impacted an important moment in her fashion career.
For Zendaya, fashion is a means of creativity and self-expression rather than merely a means of buying clothes. She makes use of fashion as a way to explore and take on numerous personas, both on and off-screen, in spite of her self-consciousness.
