Microsoft has decided to go ahead and whip up a bizarre product that is distinctive of anything else on the market. They have created a TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Xbox controller that looks and smells like a pizza. Yes you heard that right! It is the first ever video game controller in the world that emits a particular smell. We will get into the full details surrounding this weird piece of item. But first, take a look at this hilarious clip where the IGN staff are conducting a blindfolded smell test with the controller against a real slice of pizza.
What is the Xbox TMNT Pizza Controller
- The TMNT pizza controller is a strange new video game controller for Xbox unveiled by Microsoft. It comes with an attachable diffuser in the shape of the slice of a pizza. This diffuser is the part of the device responsible for releasing the smell. Since it is detachable, you can take it off from the main controller anytime you like.
- Probably, they have used some kind of synthetic essence to replicate the pungent smell of the beloved Italian dish.
- The controllers themselves appear to be quite cool with a gooey light green as the primary color along with the TMNT branding. There are four variants of the controller, each containing the turtles Raph, Leo, Don and Mike with their signature style, weapon and graffiti.
- Any TMNT fan will get this implementation of pizza as it is the go to snack for the turtles, especially Mike. It is an integral part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise.
- The release of these controllers is an official collaboration for a promotional campaign for the new TMNT movie titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: Mutant Mayhem. The film is going to release on 2nd August, 2023 in the theatres.
- One thing is for sure, the controller is going to make you very hungry during your long gaming sessions. Feel free to order a box of pizza for yourself and your buddies for a quick snack. However, if you’re on a diet, using this controller might not be such a good idea.

- We hate to be the bearer of bad news but the TMNT Pizza controllers are not available for purchase as of now. You can only get your hands on it by winning through the official giveaway conducted by Microsoft. The entries for the giveaway are accepted between 24th July and 13th August in 2023.
Rules and Methods to Enter the Giveaway
- To enter the giveaway, the following process must be done
- Firstly, you will need to follow the official account of the Xbox Game Pass on twitter via your twitter account. You will have to keep following the account at least up to 21 days from the entry period.
- Then, you will have to retweet a designated promotional tweet by the sponsors containing the hashtag #XboxTMNTMoviesweepstakes. The retweet should be done in the exact form of the original post so avoid adding anything to it.
- You will not be eligible for the entry with a private account. So make sure to turn your profile as ‘public’ before entering the competition.
- You must be above 18 years old for the giveaway.
Prizes for the Winners
- The winners will be contacted via DM in Twitter within 14 days from the end of the competition. Upon failure of redeeming the reward, the company will choose an alternate winner.
- The lucky winners will get a TMNT Pizza controller, a digital code worth 3 months subscription of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and a pizza-scented liquid fragrance to pour in the diffuser.
