The accusation made by Wriddhiman Saha might come back to haunt him. After being dropped from Sri Lanka, he claimed that Saurav Ganguly has assured him about his spot in the squad. Despite this assurance, Saha was dropped. Moreover, Saha has commented that Rahul Dravid has asked him to take retirement as he will no more be considered for selection. These statements might take Saha in deep trouble. He has made breached the BCCI contract Clause.
What is a Breach of BCCI Contract?
Saha, the veteran wicket-keeper batsman, was in Group B last year which entitled him to an annual retainership fee of Rs 3 crore. He breached clause 6.3 laid out in the players’ central contract.

As per clause 6.3 “Player shall not make any comments about the game, officials, incidents that happened in the game, use of technology, selection matters or any other matter related to the game which is in the opinion of the BCCI is adverse to and /or not in the interest of the game, team or BCCI in any media”

Arun Dhumal, BCCI’s treasurer, also acknowledged the committee’s displeasure with Saha. They could send him a letter inquiring as to why he opted to go public with his discussions with coach Dravid in the locker room.
“Yes, there is a possibility that BCCI could ask Wriddhiman as to how he spoke on selection matters being a centrally contracted cricketer,” Dhumal told PTI.
BCCI members felt that Saha should have kept his discussions with Dravid private. It has undoubtedly tarnished the reputation of the head coach.
