The agency just debuted their latest boy group, RIIZE, and now we’ll be seeing another one. SM meets MOON&BACK: An Unexpected Debut
We have yet to learn more about the potential members of the boy band, however, we got the scoop on how this new group debut will happen. The famous K-pop entertainment partnered with a UK agency, MOON&BACK Media, for the debut of the newest boy band.
The official partnership between the two parties was locked and final during the signing. SM Entertainment’s CEO Jang Cheol Hyuk, Chief Business Officer Jang Yoon Joong, Chief A&R Officer Lee Seong Soo, and creative director Kangta, with MOON&BACK’s Nigel Hall, Russ Lindsay, Dawn Airey, and Ben Karter were all present at Seoul.

MOON&BACK’s Nigel Hall is known to be behind the huge shows, Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor. It’s a no-brainer that this partnership and new boy band would also be one of the biggest debuts of this generation.
- The UK entertainment agency will be in charge of casting all the members for the boy band. At the same time, SM Entertainment will be hands-on in covering K-pop producing skills in different aspects like music, music videos, choreography, concepts, and more. SM is known for their experimental music and how they can perfectly nail it. So, their publishing subsidiary, Kreation Music Rights, will be supervising the tracks of the boy band.
At this moment, South Korean promotions could not be the priority of the MOON&BACK and SM Entertainment UK boy band. The reports say that the upcoming band will be based in the United Kingdom. This probably aims to cement their name in the global market, rather than only in South Korea and in the UK. Where to Watch the SM Entertainment UK Boy Band Debut
Of course, the two entertainment agencies wouldn’t miss it for the world to share this journey with everyone. - The audience can witness the debuting process in the upcoming series. The filming happens for six months and will focus on the boy band’s journey. Interestingly, we can probably expect the SM Entertainment UK boy band to debut around late next year.
- The series’ pre-production is ongoing, and we can expect to see the UK and South Korea in the show. Moreover, broadcasting companies, labels, and publishers are yet to be confirmed.
