Prince Harry is once again the talk of the town as his father, King Charles’ birthday is drawing near. As the youngest son of the monarch and amid the so-called royal feud between the two, many want to know if Meghan Markle and her husband will attend the King’s 75th birthday on November 14. By the looks of it, the Duke of Sussex will be a no-show again as he allegedly hasn’t received any invite amid the claims that he has refused the invitation.

Over the weekend, The Sunday Times broke the news that Prince Harry wouldn’t attend King Charles’ birthday at Clarence House next week. However, the prince’s spokesperson shut down the claims and told The Messenger that the reports about him turning down the invitation weren’t true at all.
“In response to UK media headlines, there has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday,” the spokesperson said. “It is disappointing the Sunday Times has misreported this story.”
A source who knows the situation added that The Palace hasn’t contacted the Sussexes regarding the celebration. A different insider also told MailOnline that the couple wasn’t aware of a party would be held until the reports emerged.

“They had not received any invitation and were unaware of any celebrations until the stories came out,” the tipster added.
Prince Harry and Meghan used to be part of the Royal family’s plan whenever there was a special event going on. However, due to the widening gap between the two parties and the rest of the family, they seemed to be uninvited this time.
Despite the non-invitation, the source trusts that the fifth in line to the throne will find a way to greet his father a happy birthday like he always does. It is then explained that The Times’ story makes it look like the 39-year-old military officer is snubbing His Majesty, though he’s not.

However, the publication asserted that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s father had no plans to join his estranged family. Allegedly, this is the second time that Prince Harry snubbed his dad’s invitation this year. The first one reportedly happened when King Charles invited his son when he went to the U.K. for the annual WellChild Awards in London in September. However, it was said he turned down the offer and honored Queen Elizabeth II’s death anniversary on September 8 alone before making his way to Germany for the Invictus Games.
It was also reported that the rejection came after Prince Harry made a formal request to the King’s office to have royal accommodation and security during his stay, though it wasn’t revealed if this was true.

Sure, he attended King Charles’ coronation at Westminster Abbey in May, but his relationship with his father remains fractured until today. The Royal family didn’t even greet him on his birthday in September.
