Crunchyroll halted Attack on Titan’s heavily anticipated Season 4 Part 3 premiere for a vast majority of fans worldwide thanks to a delayed simulcast. The third part which is split into two episodes was scheduled to premiere at 12.25 AM JST on March 4. However, the global simulcast on Crunchyroll never seemed to start as fans were left waiting for the episode to drop.

And what’s worse is that Crunchyroll has not released any official statement on the delay. However, Part 3 Episode 1 is finally available for worldwide streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu. The episode has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the audiences as Hajime Isayama’s pathbreaking anime series races towards an epic conclusion.
No response from Crunchyroll on delayed simulcast
It’s neither surprising that Crunchyroll was unable to stream Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 at the said time nor is their silence about the delay. This is not a first-time occurrence as Crunchyroll has always found it difficult to deal with the heavy influx of viewers whenever a new Attack on Titan episode drops.

Despite being great for business, the show has been detrimental to Crunchyroll’s servers, breaking them with overload every single year. This is why the anime streaming platform has actually refrained from heavily promoting Attack on Titan on their social media handles. However, that seems to have had no effect on the massive number of fans trying to watch the new episode.
How AoT fans have reacted to Season 4 Part 3’s delay
Fans have taken to Twitter and other social media platforms to express their anger and disappointment over Crunchyroll’s service. For starters, they are upset that they had to wait for hours without any response while there were so many others who already finished watching the Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 episode.

Furthermore, AoT fans had to keep reloading the web page for an indefinite amount of time in the hope that they will get the episode sooner or later. It’s safe to say that Crunchyroll’s silence on the delayed simulcast was not helpful at all.
Crunchyroll and Attack on Titan’s partnership
Crunchyroll’s affiliation with Attack on Titan has been a significant factor in the popularity of the show. Crunchyroll acquired the streaming rights to the series in 2013, shortly after its debut in Japan. Since then, Crunchyroll has been streaming every episode of the series on its platform for fans all over the world.
The partnership between Crunchyroll and Attack on Titan has been mutually beneficial. The show’s popularity has helped to increase the number of subscribers to the Crunchyroll platform. At the same time, Crunchyroll’s streaming service has made Attack on Titan more accessible to fans around the world.

Given that Crunchyroll has already stated that Attack on Titan will reach its epic conclusion this fall, fans have started to prepare for the beginning of the end. Also, there’s no more manga left to adapt, and this truly marks the end of a beautiful era for AoT fans.
