Who is the Vlogger who Grabbed the Tarsier in the Philippines? Where is he now? Farm Boy Vlog

The Philippines faced a big controversy when a clip on the net showed a vlogger messing with rare tarsiers. Ryan Parreño or Farm Boy Vlog, who’s from South Cotabato, got a lot of people mad online for what they did.

Outcry Over Improper Treatment

The original video posted was already nowhere to be found but luckily some concerned netizens were able to record the incident. Farm Boy Vlog grabs a tarsier and laughs while he makes the tiny creature pose for a selfie. This clear disturbance of the animal made many netizens angry and even asked META to investigate the vlogger’s content.

The penalty for collecting and illegal possession of wildlife is imprisonment for up to 4 years and a fine of up to Php300,000. They are now being searched for! It would be good for them to be punished. – Atty. Orly Montalban

Punishment for Animal Harassment

With the big noise made, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) started to dig into the mess. They are unhappy about the treatment of the tarsiers, which are very rare and primarily found in the Philippines, Borneo, and Indonesia.

Groups that want to save animals, like the Philippine Tarsier Foundation, slammed the video creator, pushing hard for him to answer for his actions. They say that people who harm animals need to be responsible for what they do.

In response to recent criticisms, the vlogger stated, “We already caught it because it almost got hit by a machete, we will release it after feeding.” They added, “I will feed it first before releasing it so they can multiply even more.”

What the Law Says: Keeping Wildlife Safe

The Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act prohibits the maltreatment of wildlife, with penalties ranging from imprisonment for 10 days to one month and a fine of P1,000 to P5,000. Since tarsiers are one of these “Other Threatened Species,” they are given extra protection under the law.

Nowhere to Be Found: Farm Boy Vlog Gone from the Net

No one can find Farm Boy’s Vlog online. His account and the original clip that upset everyone seem gone or hidden, putting more questions in this whole stir-up.

This whole mess has made people talk again about how key it is to look after wildlife and keep rare animals like the tarsier safe. As they dig deeper, many concerned individuals hope the right thing will be done for these small animals at risk.

It is saddening that these so-called vloggers are using foolish acts to generate engagement and views due to ignorance. We still don’t know the true intentions of the said vlogger because the video was cut after they captured and caged the tarsiers. We will update this article once we get more information about the incident.
