Fortnite Winterfest 2022 start date and time
Now that we’re in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, there is plenty of content players can enjoy by queueing up with friends or dropping in solo. Fortnite Winterfest 2022 officially starts on December 13, 2022, at 9 AM EST, so expect a quick update to your game if you haven’t logged on yet! This event will only run for a limited time as Winterfest is scheduled to end on January 3, 2023, at 9 AM EST.
- It’s best not to miss logging into Fortnite while Winterfest is happening if you don’t want to miss out on some sweet loot. By logging in daily, you’ll get nearly twenty free cosmetics you can equip in the game. Nothing says you’re on your way to scoring that Victory Royale like dropping in style!

- We’re definitely not going to miss out on claiming the Sled Ready Guff outfit in Fortnite. Another outfit you can get during Fortnite Winterfest 2022 is the Arctic Adeline outfit. This skin is perfect for players wanting to travel across the island in a very stylish winter outfit.
New and old holiday outfits in Item Shop

Another free skin you can redeem during Winterfest 2022 is the Guff Gringle outfit. Although you need to go to the Item Shop, don’t worry, he’s entirely free for you to claim. If you’re not feeling the Sled Ready version of Guff, make him dress up as the star of the holidays, Kris Kringle! Complete with the beard and red outfit, spread some holiday cheer on the island as you drop from the Battle Bus with Guff Gringle.

Aside from the free bundle, you can also purchase new outfits with V-Bucks during Fortnite Winterfest 2022. It’s important to remember that Winterfest will only take place from December 13 until January 3, so get your preferred skins before they leave the Item Shop! You’ll never know when you can get skins like the Snowdancer or Jonesy in his Cozy Knit outfit.
Other new content in Fortnite for Winterfest 2022

Of course, what limited-time event in Fortnite is complete without exclusive quests, weapons, and special NPC appearances? For Winterfest 2022, Snowball Launchers have been unvaulted, and players can find them hidden inside Loot Chests all over the island! If you have already checked out the Cozy Lodge menu where you can unbox your presents, you may have noticed someone missing.
- For players wanting to run into Sgt. Winter, during Fortnite’s holiday celebration for 2022, you will find this NPC zooming all over the island in matches. If you’re lucky enough to run into him, there’s a high chance for Sgt. Winter to throw you a giant present which contains loot essential for you to get that Victory Royale!

- Unfortunately, running into Sgt. Winter can be a bit tricky as his location changes every second. The vehicle he rides does not stop, so you’ll have to catch up to him in order to claim your holiday present. The best way to do this is by finding a vehicle and catching up to him at full speed.
- Suppose you want to find Sgt. Winter on the island, the best advice we can give you is to stick to the roads. Although there is no set route for him as of now, Sgt. Winter gets around in his large vehicle which only appears to move along the roads.
