Valorant patch 4.08 features some substantial adjustments for agent Jett, according to Riot Games. While the team wants to keep her because of her ability to clutch key plays, the developers admit that her dash has to have specific modifications.
According to VALORANT agent creator Alexander Mistakidis, the duelist has continually been one of the more challenging VALORANT agents for Riot to find out improvements for.
Jett is one of the most often used characters in the game, particularly in competitive matches, and her versatility has made her a staple in the majority of competitions.
It’s worth noting that, as a result of these remarks, many non-Jett users believe she needs a fair nerf because her ability is being exploited by other players. This and other changes will be made in Patch 4.08.
JETT NERF – TAILWIND
The Jett nerf especially targets her Tailwind skill, which has given Jett a level of mobility and responsiveness that is somehow difficult to stop.
- TAILWIND
- After a little delay, pushing the ability key initiates a 12-second window in which Jett is able to dash on the next button press.
- Whether she sprints or the window expires, her Tailwind will end, but players can reuse it with two kills.
- This nerf aims to preserve Jett’s fundamental abilities while limiting some of her abilities. Riot’s stated goal is to maintain her ability to rush through defenders during engage and execute plays with exceptional technical skills.
- Jett-users will now have to properly time the use of this skill limiting the aggressive usage of the dash in tactical scenarios. Or to escape from sticky situations as a result of this modification.

All Jett users will require practice to learn the new mechanics as a result of this nerf. But, hey, if you’re a Jett pro, you might be able to change up your game, right? Only time will tell if this nerf will cause players to complain about it after the update’s release.
According to certain players, many non-Jett users believe that the old Jett doesn’t require much in the way of mechanics. So it’ll be interesting to see if the nerfed Jett would still make it to the Meta.
