Games coming to PS5 exclusive September 2022
This is like heavens of gaming for players. There are about three more games that you can expect for the rest of 2022 on PS5 exclusive! We’ll briefly discuss the upcoming games for this year, games later than 2023, and other released PS5 exclusive games!
The Last of Us Part 1
- Release date:Â September 2, 2022
- Yep! Only been a week since The Last of Us Part 1 release, so make sure to them right now to your carts and enjoy this exclusive game! Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment worked hand-in-hand in developing and publishing the game, respectively. Moreover, if you’re up for some action and adventure games, this one’s a must!
- Also, a fun fact, if you are not aware, this 2022 release is a remake of the 2013 game The Last of Us. They revised the controls and gameplay of the 2013 version, and enhanced its combat and exploration. So if you’re interested in a new shooting game, you can purchase this PS5-exclusive game for $69.99 (Standard Edition), and $79.99 (Digital Deluxe Edition). Learn more on PlayStation!
- Game introduction: In a ravaged civilization, where infected and hardened survivors run rampant, Joel, a weary protagonist, is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie out of a military quarantine zone. However, what starts as a small job soon transforms into a brutal cross-country journey. Includes the complete The Last of Us single-player story and celebrated prequel chapter, Left Behind, which explores the events that changed the lives of Ellie and her best friend Riley forever.
Forspoken
- Release date: Supposedly October 11, 2022, changed to January 24, 2023
- Up for some science fiction genre video game? You may want to look at this role-playing game! Luminous Productions and Square Enix made this game happen as they developed and (will) published Forspoken, respectively. Additionally, it is another single-player game and rated for mature audiences because of its strong language and violence.
- If you’re confused with the release date, on Square Enix and PlayStation’s websites, the game’s release will be on January 24, 2023. Let’s wait if this still changes, for the meantime, let’s talk about the game. You can pre-purchase Forspoken as early as now on PlayStation! There are two editions to choose from: the Standard Editon which costs $69.99, and the Digital Deluxe Edition which retails for around $94.99.
- Game introduction: Forspoken is an action RPG that follows the journey of Frey, a young New Yorker transported to the beautiful and cruel land of Athia. In search of a way home, Frey must use her newfound magical abilities to traverse sprawling landscapes, battle monstrous creatures and defeat powerful matriarchs known as Tantas.
God of War: Ragnarok
- Release date:Â November 9, 2022
- If you have your PlayStation 4, of course, you may play this PlayStation 5 exclusive game there too. God of War: Ragnarok arrives as the last game for the month of 2022 in the PS5 exclusive games. Santa Monica Studio, alongside Sony Interactive Entertainment, completed its development and publishing, respectively. Another action and adventure game for you, players!
- Also, expect this 2018 original to return this 2022 with its outstanding visuals, a new storyline to keep you hooked, and characters you probably have met before. You can pre-purchase God of War: Ragnarok on PlayStation! The PS4 and PS5 Standard Edition cost $69.99, while the PS4-only platform costs $59.99. Also, check out the Digital Deluxe Version which retails for around $79.99.
- Game introduction: From Santa Monica Studio comes the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018). Fimbulwinter is well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Asgardian forces prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world. Along the way, they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. The threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer. Kratos and Atreus must choose between their own safety and the safety of the realms.
Exclusives released this 2022 and coming in 2023

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Release date:Â 2023
- If you’re a Marvel fan, specifically a Spidey lover, you may want to wait for this release! Spider-Man swings its way to the PS5 exclusive games in 2023, so be sure to tune in with this action and adventure game! They are yet to release details about this platform and fighting game by Insomniac Games.
- There are no pre-order details up yet, but we hope it’ll be out soon. Moreover, in 2018, you may have met Miles Morales as Spidey in Spider-Man. Well, looks like you can play with Miles and Peter Parker on this upcoming release! Watch out for that!
Marvel’s Wolverine
- Release date:Â TBA
- If you’re a Marvel fan, pretty sure you are locked and loaded with this second Marvel console game. Wolverine makes its mark on PS5 exclusive games probably sometime next year, as both Marvel games are in development by Insomniac Games. Although it’s the same with Spider-Man 2, the details are yet to be announced with this one.
- The game would probably drop a few months after Spider-Man 2. As it is still in the development of the Insomniac and Sony Interactive Entertainment.
There are other games that you may want to look forward to in the year 2023!
- Knights of the Old Republic Remake – This game will be a timed exclusive in 2023! There is no exact date yet, but watch out for any announcements!

Horizon: Call of the Mountain – This game will be a PlayStation VR exclusive! Further details may be announced soon, so let’s watch out for that!
