Ubisoft to Shut Down Online Services for 90 Old Games

Uh-oh!

In a recent announcement made by Ubisoft, the videogame company said that they will be shutting down their online server support for some of the older titles. To be more specific, 90 games across multiple platforms will have their online servers disabled.

But, even though Ubisoft has shut the online servers of these older games, they are still playable in offline mode. Some of these older titles were released some 10 or 15 years ago and were made available for PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360.

Game Features That Will Be Affected

  • In-game news and stats will no longer be around
  • Multiplayer mode will not be available anymore. However, the solo mode will still be up.
  • Units and challenges for games that use Ubisoft Connect are also disabled.
  • Game ULCs (Unlockable Contents) will no longer be functional.
  • Rewards will also be disabled. Players can unlock them in the game but won’t be able to receive them afterward.
  • Use your in-game currencies within 60-days. Additionally, there will be no refunds on unused currencies.
