Top marksman to play in honor of kings

The Honor of Kings is a highly popular MOBA that was recently released in March 2023. Right now there are around 60 characters in-game for you to choose from. Currently, the game is in its first ranked season, and ranking up can give you great benefits such as gold, diamonds, arcana fragments, etc. The rank season will reset in nearly a month therefore make sure to rank up. Here is a list of the top 5 marksmen to play in Honor of King that will help you through this ranked journey.

Marksman

Marksman are the ranged characters played in Farm Lane. They are really important in a team fight as they have the potential to deal the most damage, at the same time they are low on defense stats so be careful. They are quite easy to kill and can be hard to pull off in solo-ranked games but don’t worry we have you covered.

Lady Sun

  • Tier – S tier
  • Difficulty – Intermediate

Lady Sun is one of the strongest Marksman in the current meta. Her immense late-game burst paired with her mobility from skill A makes it hard to catch her. Also, she has the longest range amongst all the current Marksman lineup which gives her an edge to take enemies out from distance.

Strength –

  • Her mobility and her ranged advantage is her biggest strength and hence needs to be used properly.
  • She scales well into the late game, dishing out a lot of damage which is capable of taking out squishy heroes in one shot.

Weakness

  • She has a weak early-game scaling, and you would at least need 2-3 items before you can deal good damage.
  • Unlike other marksmen she is mostly dependent on using her skills, hence you need to save them for the right time.

Juniper

  • Tier – S tier
  • Difficulty – Intermediate

Juniper is early to mid-game marksman who excels at rotating in between lanes while exerting great pressure on enemy laner. She is a bit tricky to learn as your target selection should be on point.

Strength

  • She nearly counters every marksman in the game right now because her B skill grants her invulnerability to physical damage. This also makes her a less viable target for assassins.
  • She has one of the fastest lane clear in the game and can out-rotate other Marksman to apply pressure in other lanes.

Weakness

  • As the game progresses into the late game, she loses her one-shot potential
  • Juniper is a character that scales well into early and mid-game, and shutting her down early can nullify her overall presence.

Solarus

  • Tier – A tier
  • Difficulty – Easy

Solarus excels in team fights due to his passive. He is not as farm hungry as most of the other marksmen and is relatively easy to use hence he is on our list of the top 5 marksmen to play in Honor of Kings for ranked.

Strength

  • Solarus excels in kiting, especially in the late game. He can hit multiple targets at the same time and can deal significant amounts of damage in a team fight.
  • Solarus scales well through the game and his ultimate is an amazing tool to start a fight or get out of tricky situations.

Weakness

  • Even though Solarus does great consistent damage he lacks the burst compared to heroes like Juniper, Lady Sun, etc.
  • He doesn’t have a dash in his kit which makes him a potential target for assassins.

Marco Polo

  • Tier – A tier
  • Difficulty – Easy

Marco Polo is a deft marksman and is quite quick on his feet. He can easily get out of tricky situations making him hard to gank, although he lacks the fancy number damages like other Marksman.

Strength

  • Marco Polo has a decent landing phase, with the help of his A you can maintain distance, clear the waves, and even poke your enemy. Furthermore, he is quite mobile compared to other heroes in the same classification.
  • Marco Polo is only of the few Marksman that deals true damage and hence he is quite good against a tanky composition.

Weakness

  • Marco Polo is quite situational and can be countered with heroes that have high crowd control.
  • Marco Polo in the current meta lacks the constant damage or burst damage output compared to other S-tier heroes. Although, if played correctly he is still a great threat to enemies.

Luban No.7

  • Tier – B Tier
  • Difficulty – Easy

Luban is the easiest Marksman to use in Honor of Kings, but the hardest to pull off in higher ranks. He deals heavy bursts which can make him hard to deal with, but if opponents get a hold of him, he is really easy to take down. Using Luban is like a double-edged sword and can go either way.

Strength

  • Luban No.7 has a decent early game wave clear and can clear the waves from the distance.
  • He can out-damage any other Marksman in the late game and can wipe the entire team in a few seconds.

Weakness

  • He is quite a farm-hungry character and needs a lot of time to scale, which opponents can exploit and try to force the game to finish early
  • Luban isn’t mobile at all, in fact, his passive procs when he stays at a place. Therefore, your positioning needs to be on point because if caught off-guard, most of the time you will die.
