Top 10 Browser Games if you’re bored – Ranked

It does not matter if you are a pro-gamer or if you have never played a single video game in your entire life. Browser games are meant for everyone. They are short and simple. The best browser games do not expect you to be invested but still keep your focus and thinking levels sharp. Read to find out how we rank our top 10 browser games to play if you are bored.

Wordle

We start the list with The New York Times game that took the world by storm in 2022 and went on to define the year. You get 6 tries to guess the five-letter word of the day.

  • Regardless of whether you get it right or wrong, you can play Wordle only once per day, preferably when you’re bored. And that’s enough to keep this browser game going.

Line Rider

In terms of simplicity, no other browser game can be as simple and effective as Line Rider. You draw a line and then you ride on it – that sums up the entire game. Line Rider is a Flash classic that keeps going as far as your imagination goes.

QWOP

You are officially old if you remember playing Foddy’s QWOP when it first started making rounds on the internet.

  • Easily the most difficult browser game in this list, QWOP is about using the four keys to make a character run. The game might be unplayable but it’s fun to even fail at this.

Threes

Threes walked so that 2048 could fly. The game revolves around pushing identical numbered tiles into each other to form bigger numbered tiles. The game goes on until the board fills up.

Quick, Draw

Quick, Draw tells you a word and asks you to draw it within a specified time limit. Your drawing has to be accurate enough for Google’s AI to identify using machine learning.

Tetris

Classics never go out of style and Tetris is living proof for it. Tetris has made its way past arcades, old desktops, phones, consoles and it’s just as good to play on a browser when you’re bored.

Slither.io

Slither.io gets its inspiration from another classic mobile game, Snake. Slither is a multiplayer browser game whose objective is to grow the longest possible snake in the server by eating pellets, either spawned in the game or left by actual users.

Chrome Dino

Certainly, this one’s a no-brainer and possibly the most popular browser game being played today. Google Chrome’s in-built dinosaur appears whenever connection is lost and kills time for many.

Sinuous

Sinuous is a great browser game to play when you are bored and have 5-10 minute bursts of energy. It takes great concentration to hold on to your cursor and evade a flood of red dots

PAC-Man Doodle

Another classic on the list, Pac-Man defines nostalgia for a whole generation of arcade gamers. The retro game’s simple objective of “eat or be eaten” still holds up strong.
