There’s no better to enjoy your Friday nights than the good ol’ fashion way – watching a movie while drinking a can of beer. Well, sometimes, we just want to escape reality, don’t we? YES! Back in the day, when you think of Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, and David Spade, you automatically think of – you guessed it – COMEDY! Obviously, you won’t be seeing them in a horror movie much more in a film noir genre.
Grown Ups is ranked 10th in this list because of its bad critic reviews. Although most thought this movie was terrible, it’s still mostly entertaining in its own special way. Just think of it as a good family movie and don’t expect a lot from it. Just be entertained for once!

9. Click (2006)

The story begins when Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) discovers a magical remote that allows him to fast-forward, rewind, pause, and play the actual happenings in his life. As a result, he learned a valuable lesson in a very hard way – he must cherish the time he has with his family and not escape reality every time he fails.
Adam Sandler really gave his comedic prowess in this movie and showcased the true meaning of love and family. It’s the perfect blend of comedy, drama, and fantasy and is already a cult-classic

8. Hotel Transylvania (2012)

You don’t often see Adam Sandler in animated films, but when you do, it sure is a good one. Adam might not be the best Dracula (blah blah blah), but he is surely one of the best to ever do it. It also helps that the movie focuses on love, family, tradition, and protecting your loved ones which we saw the movie heavily tackled. Aside from that, you will also learn that love can be found in the most unexpected places. Sometimes, it’s just right in front of you and you just have to wait for the … ZING!
Due to its huge success at the box office, the franchise birthed 3 more movies (Hotel Transylvania 2, Hotel Transylvania 3, and Hotel Transylvania: Transformania).

7. Blended (2014)

Two single parents who vowed to never see each other again after a botched blind date. In a sudden turn of events, both of them were struck to see each other alongside their respective children in Africa during a family vacation. Maybe it’s just FATE that really wants the two of them together.
For the third time, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore and pairing in another rom-com movie, Blended. They hit the spotlight again and were joined by a star-studded cast consisting of Bella Thorne, Terry Crews, and Shaquille O’Neal. Let’s just say that their chemistry is off the charts in this one. And oh how fans wished the two should have got married in real life! Nonetheless, Sandler and Barrymore were both fantastic in this movie.

6. The Wedding Singer

Back in 1998, two young stars, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore teamed up for a romantic comedy movie, ‘The Wedding Singer’. This is the first time that the two paired as romantic interests in a movie before teaming up again in 2004 in 50 First Dates and 2014’s Blended.
As the title suggests, Adam Sandler plays a goofy wedding singer named Robbie who finds an unexpected love affair with a waitress named Julia (Drew Barrymore). The movie gave the impression of how great the chemistry was between Adam and Drew. Moreover, Adam Sandler looked romantic while singing “Grow old with you” to Drew.

5. Happy Gilmore (1996)

A young Adam Sandler portrayed the titular character, Happy Gilmore, who only wanted one thing – to become a professional hockey player. Instead of reaching his ultimate goal, his life gets an unexpected turn as Happy was forced to play golf. To save her grandmother’s home, he must play in a golf competition and win an enormous amount of cash. At the end of the movie, we saw Happy become an unlikely hero, not just to the golfing community, but also to his family and friends.
In this movie, Sandler established his status as the comic relief in movies. As such, his goofy appearance and foul-mouthed stature became a classic which still holds up to this day.

4. 50 First Dates (2004)

6 years after their first team-up, at the height of both Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, the two once again star in a romantic comedy movie, 50 First Dates.
The once playboy Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) finds his one true love in a diner in Hawaii, Lucy (Drew Barrymore), who happens to have a short-term memory loss. Every morning, Lucy only remembers everything that happened leading to the day of her accident. As a result, Henry must show Lucy every day about their love affair. He also must convince Lucy’s family that he really loves her.
What makes this movie listed so high in this list is that it’s the perfect rom-com movie for couples. In addition to that, everybody surely has re-watched this movie a couple of times, just like how Lucy has seen Sixth Sense (if you know, you know).

3. Uncut Gems (2019)

With the right material and storyline, Adam Sandler proved he can still deliver. Far from his usual rom-com movies, Adam Sandler gave an all-out performance in the 2019 movie ‘Uncut Gems’.
This anxiety-inducing crime-thriller film featured a man, Howard Ratner, who has the complete recipe for disaster: Gambling addiction and jewelry theft. Deep into the movie, it’s not just about the money anymore, some people are already after his head which made the movie extremely thrilling.

2. Punch-Drunk Love (2002)

Imagine a guy (Barry Egan) so miserable that he has to live his life selling novelty items and has to interact with his seven terrible siblings while also being lonely, depressed, timid, and very susceptible to angry outbursts. Amidst all of that, Barry (portrayed by Sandler) still finds love.
The movie has exposed various layers of Adam Sandler which cemented his legacy as one of the greatest actors in Hollywood. In all fairness, the movie was so good that casting Adam Sandler couldn’t have been any more perfect.

1. Hustle (2022)

In arguably his best movie yet, Adam Sandler proved that he is just more than a comic. Starring in a Netflix original movie titled “Hustle”, Sandler showed that he is not just capable of giving laughs but he’s also an actor who can do it all.
Hustle features Sandler alongside NBA players like Juancho Hernangomez, Anthony Edwards, and many more in a movie that shows the struggles of a foreign basketball player in his path to the NBA.
Some of Sandler’s fans even think that he deserves an Oscar after his stellar performance in Hustle. Do you think he definitely deserves to win at least one in his career?
