Netflix’s survival show based on the celebrated K-drama has been making headlines for concerning filming situations and increasing audience engagement. Amid this the show’s contestant number 215, Eric Roberts has come forward to reveal juicy details from the sets of Squid Game The Challenge. Squid Game The Challenge contestant reveals behind-the-scenes details
Irish influencer and social media star Eric Roberts, best known for his comedic videos on TikTok, was one of the few lucky participants who made it on the grounds of the game show. He is currently going viral as the player 215, and enjoying the deserved attention throughly.
After coming in the second position in the Red Light Green Light game, and becoming one of the four participants out of 50, who survived the umbrella in the Dalgona cookie game, he has disclosed his experience through Instagram stories. He has also indulged his followers in some behind-the-scene details through a series of TikTok videos. Read the details below.
The harsh filming conditions
Roberts details the filming conditions stating that the creators did their best in replicating the K-drama. There were many cameras and no retakes whatsoever. The players received one set of sweatsuits that they wore till their elimination.

The first game Red Light Green Light took around 4 to 8 hours to film. Each of the contestants had to stand in the minus four degrees for 30-40 minutes, which is also one of the reasons why many of them had their hands in their pockets. He calls this game one of the hardest to film as many people fainted and required medical health.
Following the intense game, the contestants were famished and exhausted but they only received one bowl of white rice and an egg to survive. They couldn’t even sleep peacefully due to the competition within the dorms.
However, they did try to enjoy it as much as possible by playing various games and creating football out of available things. At one point Eric Roberts also hosted a talent show where many people participated by dancing and singing. Unfortunately, this didn’t make it to the final cut as it was out of the show’s theme.
Roberts take on the lawsuit
The popular player 215 also briefly mentioned the lawsuit that some of the contestants have filed against the creators regarding the harsh filming situations. Many contestants claimed to suffer from hypothermia from the Red Light Green Light game.

While talking about this, Roberts said that the participants were aware of what they were getting into. They knew the premise of the show and the concept of Squid Game The Challenge, so, the complainers are ‘sore losers’ as per him.
Ever since has has also highlighted the mental fatigue along with the physical exhaustion that made this survival show a real-life Squid Game. Currently, Roberts has surpassed the initial five episodes and he is confirmed to return in the upcoming four this week. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether he wins the grand prize of $4.56 million in the last episode.
