One of the most anticipated titles from fans of July 2019 is certainly Wolfenstein Youngblood. A spin-off of the famous saga whose rights are currently owned by Bethesda. To further foment the community is the fact that the software house behind the last two Wolfenstein, Machine Games, this time joined forces with a big piece of the industry to develop the expected title. We are indeed talking about nothing less than Arkane Studios, the mind behind the various Dishonored.
The influence of the famous software house will seem to be decidedly seen in Wolfenstein Youngblood. Considering how the expected title will offer players a decidedly more open-world experience and less linear than their predecessors. In addition to all this, a co-op mode will also be present in Youngblood.
Jerk Gustafsson, executive producer of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, spoke in an interview. According to Gustafsson, the introduction of this possibility has apparently led to some problems in the study. The executive producer has in fact declared:
“At the beginning, it was a bit difficult. We added so many new things that we have never done before like the co-op, less linearity and the progression of the characters. But in the end I’m definitely happy with the cooperative because it’s really fun.”
“The co-op adds something really new and fresh to our titles and has, therefore, proved quite difficult to introduce. However, this step had to be absolutely done. The cooperative forced us to think in a different and less linear way, not only in terms of gameplay but also in storytelling.”
