“The worst type of woman in the world” – Kwame Brown bashes Malika Andrews online; ESPN controversy explained

Kwame Brown and Malika Andrews

Former NBA player Kwame Brown made a bold statement against ESPN’s Malika Andrews following the recent accusations she made against her co-host, Jalen Rose. Kwame has been known to diss players and the organization in the past, and this time, it’s no different. To find out more about this altercation, read more below.

“Get your finger out of my armpit”: Malika Andrews accuses Jalen Rose of inappropriately touching her on air

Earlier this month, in a business-as-usual segment on ESPN’s NBA Today, Malika Andrews and Jalen Brown made a huge buzz on the internet after the most awkward hug on live television.

Although the incident did not transpire into anything more than that and the hosts kept going, the controversial interaction took a toll on Jalen Rose’s career as a TV personality. There were reports that Rose was almost fired from “The Worldwide Leader in Sports”, a show in which he participated for more than a decade. Plus, there were also rumors that he was fired by ESPN, however, this was later confirmed as a hoax. Right after the video went viral, Jalen Rose went to social media to address the allegations.

“You damn right I hugged my sister, because I’m a real one, I’m a boss, I’m a G. Next, I didn’t put my finger under her armpit, if you look at the picture I only got four fingers and one thumb and they’re on her shoulder.”

Since the incident, Malika Andrews has not made any comments and the two continued working with each other. Former NBA player, Richard Jefferson, who was also on the segment did not share his thoughts on the matter. Meanwhile, people are speculating that Andrews is framing Rose so that he will get fired from ESPN. This is a bit much, but almost everyone thinks so too.

Kwame Brown to Malika Andrews: “She is the worst type of woman”

Netizens aren’t the only ones noticing something was off in the Jalen Rose incident. The 2001 first overall pick, Kwame Brown, took off against Malika Andrew’s hypocrisy in the viral video a few weeks ago. In the SELFTALK podcast, Brown slammed Andrews following the recent Jalen Rose incident.

“That type of woman that Malika Andrews is…she is a representation of the worst type of woman in the world in my opinion. You want to have an opinion on everything? You…want to talk about everything? But then you want to tip the scale to where this feminist bullsh*t is ruling. Jalen Rose did not put his hand in your armpit ma’am. And if that was something that he did and you thought he did, and this man revered you as his sister, you might have wanted to talk to your brother off-camera. Y’all better be careful about these women like this.”

Kwame Brown went to greater heights by accusing Malika of being a feminist as well as portraying his co-host, Jalen Rose, negatively on live television.

That’s married to white men but always talking about black men and always disrespecting black men. We never heard you say nothing about Dana White (UFC President) slapping his wife over and over again. How come we never heard that ma’am? How come you always attacking Black men and always trying to make sure Black men are in line? Who’s paying you to do that ma’am?”

Malika Andrews, who is relatively new to the field, has already had her fair share of criticism and backlash in just a couple of years on ESPN

Two years ago, Malika Andrews received a big break after being called to substitute for the then-host, Rachel Nichols. Nichols was controversially axed by ESPN’s group of analysts. Last year, in the midst of the cheating allegations on former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka, Malika Andrews and Stephen A. Smith had a heated argument.

Both personalities (Smith and Andrews) disagreed on how the Celtics handled the Ime Udoka situation. What’s even funnier is that Malika targeted Smith on his own show, where she got quickly manhandled by the veteran host.
