The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an upcoming video game from Gun Interactive
During the Summer Game Fest, Gun Interactive released a brand new gameplay trailer for their upcoming game. The whole premise of the game was enough to get horror game fanatics hyped. From Leatherface stalking and chasing after you to his family helping in capturing you, it’s definitely enough to get us excited.
But after their reveal at the Summer Game Fest, Gun Interactive came out with a bloodier trailer for the game. In the Red Band version of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, we get to see more (bloody) details about the game. And to add to the fear factor, Leatherface will be joined by some familiar ‘faces’ (get it?).

The game features old and new members of the Slaughter family
If you’ve watched the Texas Chain Saw movies, Leatherface is accompanied by his family members in carrying out his bloody deeds. From Grandpa, the Cook, and to the Hitchhiker, they’re all part of the video game.
However, Gun Interactive also revealed that the game introduces new family members to the Slaughter family. Moreover, the game takes place before the 1974, 1986, and 2006 Texas Chain Saw Massacre films from Tobe Hooper.
Kane Hodder, best known for portraying Jason Voorhees both in the film series and video game for Friday the 13th, is going to be Leatherface in the upcoming video game. However, this isn’t his first time being Leatherface. In Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Hodder played Leatherface for his stunts.
And the Hitchhiker will be played by Ed Neal. He previously played this role in the first Texas Chain Saw Massacre film released in 1974. But aside from playing the role of the Hitchhiker, Neal was credited for three voices in Wii’s Metroid Prime 3.
As for the game’s story, it revolves around a group of five young adults. The group is led by Ana Flores and they decide to look for her missing sister. However, things took a turn for the worst when they end up at the Slaughterhouse, where Leatherface and his family have sinister plans for them.

Release date and platforms
Gun Interactive revealed that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will release sometime in 2023. It will be available on the following platforms:
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC (Steam and Microsoft Store)
Moreover, it will be available on the Xbox Game Pass (console and PC). So if you’re a subscriber by then, you get to check out the game without having to purchase it.
