Fresh off the tutorial train, you’re about to tackle the desolate wasteland of Tamachi. This guide covers everything you need to know, from finding all Miman to mastering every encounter. Ready, gamers? Let’s jump in!
Tamachi is your first taste of the game’s expansive world. This area is filled with secrets, enemies, and treasures waiting to be discovered. Your main objective here is to explore, collect items, and survive. After your initial meetup with Aogami, you’ll become a Nahobino – a powerful fusion of human and demon. This transformation is essential for your survival and sets the stage for your adventure.
“The Lay of the Land” Quest
Your first quest takes you to the iconic Tokyo Tower. Here, you’ll kick off the “The Lay of the Land” mission, setting the stage for your exploration of Tamachi. Gustave is your guide to commerce and Leyline Founts. He’ll teach you how to buy and sell items and unlock the healing havens known as Leyline Founts. Your first mission? Hunting down Miman.
Miman #1
- Head to the Mita Leyline Fount to start your Miman hunt. The first red creature is near a beat-up car. Keep an eye out – there are 50 of these little guys scattered across Minato.
Miman #2
- From Miman #1, head northwest to find a vending machine. This machine dispenses Relics, which you can sell to Gustave for Macca. Stock up because these items respawn over time. Miman #2 is chilling on some stairs near this vending machine.
Back on the main path, you’ll encounter a Pixie. Use the “Talk” option during battle and choose the right dialogue choices to recruit her. Offering a Life Stone seals the deal. You’ll face Slimes next.
Aogami will teach you about Attacking Demon Symbols, allowing you to get a head start in battle. After defeating them, head southeast to find a treasure chest with a Revival Bead.
Miman #3
Aogami introduces Sky View, a trick that provides a bird’s-eye view of the overworld. This view helps you locate enemy hideouts, loot, and other valuable items.
- Take the northwest path to encounter purple Preta enemies. Defeat them and find Miman #3 hiding behind some rubble. Continue southwest to discover Magatsuhi near a tree.
- Navigate through ruins and climb a broken pillar to reach a treasure chest. Head back to the Slimes and turn right to find more Magatsuhi and another treasure chest.
Miman #4 & 5
- Return to the fallen building and look for a hollowed-out one nearby. Inside, you’ll find Miman #4. Continue northwest, dealing with Slimes and discovering Mokoi. Head west to see Miman #5 near the ledge of a building.
At a tunnel intersection, head west to learn about Subquests. These optional missions offer sweet rewards. Return to the intersection and head east to fight Slimes guarding a treasure chest with a Fire Shard.
Head northeast from the Tamachi Leyline Fount intersection. After a cutscene and battle with Pretas, you’ll have three options for your response. Your choice won’t affect the story.
Defeat Onmoraki and consider adding him to your squad. Discover a Mandrake and a vending machine nearby. Use your minimap to locate an Aogami Husk, which offers valuable essences.
