Tekken 8: 2 Returning Characters Revealed

Two of the franchise’s most beloved characters are confirmed to return in Tekken 8, and both of them unveil brand-new stylish appearances. These fighters were made public following Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 gameplay and story teaser from The Game Awards 2022.

Tekken 8 – Returning Characters Revealed

Through Tekken 8’s The Game Awards video, which featured memories of better times between Jin and his mother, fans first got a glimpse of Jun Kazama rejoining the franchise. Although a few fans still questioned if Jin would be playable in this new edition, Jun’s reveal at the conclusion seems to give Jin fans hope. Her playability has been confirmed by Bandai Namco’s most recent trailer.

The beginning of the trailer shows off Jun Kazama’s residence, which is set in a gorgeous, picturesque forest with various animals all around her. Her skill in the Kazama Family Style of Martial Arts is then displayed. Her moves, in contrast to Asuka’s, are significantly more graceful and sophisticated.

With this, fans were curious to learn if Tekken 8, the most anticipated fighting game of 2023, would feature any further returning characters. And much to our surprise, there will be two new returning characters in the roster. Here are the two new characters who have been confirmed to return in Tekken 8. Enjoy!

Asuka Kazama

Asuka Kazama, who was first introduced in Tekken 5 as Jin Kazama’s cousin, is the first character to make a comeback. She began the games as a significant figure who might hold the key to Jin’s concerns with the Devil Gene and the Mishima bloodline. However, as the games progressed, she lost her significance.

She uses the same martial arts style as her family like Jun Kazama. The inclusion of all three well-known Kazama bloodline members in a major Tekken game’s lineup for the first time, with Jun Kazama returning to the playable pool after a decade’s absence, is a significant milestone.

Leroy Smith

Leroy Smith, a fashionable African American master of Wing Chun, is the second of these returning characters. He was so well-liked by the public before being added as a DLC character in Tekken 7. Some claim that his look in this game outshines his presentation in the previous one because of his extravagant use of flashy techniques. He is well-known for the “One-Inch Punch” technique.

Having Asuka and Jun present is the perfect time to look at their connections with Jin and Kazuya before their last showdown, especially given the chaotic nature of the Tekken family and the fact that this game promotes the destined clash between father and son.

On the other hand, Leroy has received a lot of love from longtime fans who are eager to get their hands on the controller and see how his gameplay has evolved in the last ten years.

Several fans are still unsure of the significance of this legendary character’s return in Tekken 8 after more than ten years . More information and characters will be showcased before the game’s release.
