IPL 2022 will start in just 4 days. The IPL teams are facing problems of unavailability of players. Some players have withdrawn themselves from the tournament citing different reasons. Kolkata Knight Riders have signed Aaron Finch as replacement of Alex Hales, Gujarat Titans have roped in Rahmanullah Gurbaz in place of Jason Roy. The newly introduced franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has signed Mark Wood for 7.5 crores. But due to an elbow injury, he has been ruled out of the entire IPL. So LSG is searching for his replacement, it is most likely Bangladeshi bowler, Taskin Ahmed. He might be replacing Mark Wood.
Will Taskin Ahmed Make It To The IPL?
Taskin Ahmed hasn’t made his debut in IPL yet. This year might prove to be a lucky year as he could be on his way to making it into the league.

As per reports, LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir called in Dhaka on Sunday evening and proposed an IPL contract for the 26-year-old pacer. Ahmed has until Monday to declare his decision.

Taskin Ahmed, however, is currently on a South Africa tour. The tour will continue till 4th April 2022. So, in order to play in IPL, he would have to miss the two tests against South Africa.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed that they will not give the NOC to Taskin Ahmed to take part in the IPL. As we all know that national duty is more important.
“Since we have two important series like the ongoing home tour of South Africa and the home series against India, we feel it won’t be right for him to take part in the IPL,” BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus said.
Official confirmation is yet to come from LSG and Taskin Ahmed.
