The Steam Lunar New Year Sale will begin next week. The Lunar New Year is on February 1st, however, it appears like the Steam discount is starting a little early. The Steam Lunar New Year Sale dates have not yet been formally published by Valve. But, the details have leaked through Valve’s discussions with developers, as is customary.
Lunar New Year Sale Schedule
According to leaked dates on SteamDB, the Steam Lunar New Year sale will run from the end of January until the first week of February. Because the new deal arrives just 22 days after the Steam Winter Sale, we should expect similar savings.

- This will also be the last significant sale before the Steam Deck’s February delivery date. It is when the first batch of Valve’s handheld machine will be mailed out to early buyers.
- Valve’s Steam Deck Verified initiative, which will show indicators of how well a game would play on the handheld directly on the shop page, is also ramping up.
- The sales are set to last until early February, and Valve is likely to renew its lineup before the sale expires. The Steam New Year Sale is set to begin at 6 p.m. GMT on Thursday, based on recent happenings.
