Ubisoft is developing another action-adventure game under the Star Wars franchise. Isn’t it exciting? The time period is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in the Star Wars world. Star Wars games have previously done well on the global stage, and the franchise has earned a reputation for itself in the action-adventure genre. Players all around the world are waiting for the release date of Star Wars Outlaws, especially since Ubisoft has been vague with release details. A trailer of Star Wars Outlaws was shown at the Xbox Games Showcase earlier this year, and it has left us all with one question “How big is the open world map in Star Wars Outlaws?”

The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The game is highly awaited by players worldwide due to huge claims already being made about the game. You will play outlaw scoundrel Kay Vess in the game.
Star Wars Outlaws: How big is the Open World Map?
- Each planet in the game will be the size of two zones in the Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, according to the game’s creative director. Division 2’s whole map is smaller than one of the planets in Star Wars Outlaws.
- The planets of the game were entirely created from the ground up and will be modeled by how the Star Wars galaxy appeared between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

- The “Reputation System” of the game will influence a player’s position with different factions and open up opportunities for specific tasks. Players will also have a great deal of freedom and to encounter some tasks, there are several ways for you to do so.
- The game has several confirmed planets, including Kijimi, Tatooine, and Akiva. However, much is still unknown about the rest of the map for Star Wars Outlaws.
In our opinion, the game is going to be huge! And we mean that literally! We are ready to burn off at least a few hundred hours walking around in the dusty boots of Kay Vess.
Possible Release Date
In June 2023, a cinematic trailer for Star Wars Outlaws was shown at the Xbox Games Showcase. This was the first gameplay showcase after its initial announcement in January 2021.
This trailer was followed by ten minutes of gameplay during the Ubisoft Forward event. At the time of writing, there has not been any official date announced for the game’s release. However, the release date of Star Wars Outlaws is expected to be in 2024.
