Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a game-changer for the iconic character as well as the entire animation industry. So, it makes sense why the sequel Across the Spider-Verse is eagerly awaited.
To add to the already-buzzing hype, Sony Pictures Animation has offered us a new glimpse of Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen from the upcoming film, and it looks amazing!
Miles and Gwen first look
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will bring back Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy and all of their alternate counterparts from across the franchise in an animated adventure.

- The new still has Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen watching over an inverted city landscape, sitting upside down. This hints at the movie’s plot and of course some epic visual sequences that transcend multiple alternate universes.
- A new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released on December 13, 2022.
Across the Spider-Verse: What we know so far
The film will also feature more superheroes who will join Miles and Gwen as they embark on an epic adventure across the Multiverse to face a seemingly unstoppable villain, Spider-Man 2099.
- Miles and Gwen’s return to the Spider-Verse will feature a variety of new, unexplored universes brought to life with path-breaking animation and art styles.
- The previous trailer for Across the Spider-Verse picks up where the last film ended as Gwen barges into Miles’ room taking him along on another multiversal adventure.
Across the Spider-Verse cast and premiere
Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld return as Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. Other familiar voices include Brian Tyree Henry, Jake Johnson and Luna Lauren Vélez.
- Jason Schwartzman as The Spot and Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk are new and exciting additions to the voice cast. And of course, Oscar Isaac lends his voice to Spider-Man 2099.

- Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in two parts, directed by Kemp Powers, Joaquim dos Santos, and Justin K. Thompson.
- Part One is scheduled to be released in June 2023. A third film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is also on the cards.

The success of Into the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse followed Miles Morales as a teenager from Brooklyn who discovers he has superpowers and is able to become a real-life Spider-Man.
