Don’t shoot! It’s Virginia Puffton! While there are hundreds of cannibals and mutated abominations infesting the island in Sons of the Forest, you will eventually come across one mutant that does not pry on you, the survivor. Players have been interested on what the young woman, Virginia, is capable of doing. But, how can you get Virginia to join you?
Who is Virginia and what is her role in the game?
Veronica was first seen in Sons of the Forest introduction cutscene before the helicoper’s crash landing. Revealed to be Veronica Puffton, the daughter of the missing billionaire Edward Puffton. Virginia, alongside both her parents, have gone missing on the island. The 20-year-old can be found anywhere on the island wearing a white leotard.
Her true role isn’t spread out yet but players have found Virginia as an “ally” instead of being an enemy. Despite her mutated body, she still had a benevolent character and a friendly attitude.
How to befriend Virginia in Sons of the Forest: tips and tricks
At first glance, you’d notice that Virginia is kinda weird as she dances around the forest. She will act curious but she will run away on your first meetup. Take note that Virginia is unlike the cannibals. She will neither attack nor try to eat you. But, with one wrong move, you can scare her off and she will leave.
The trick on how to make her become your friend (eventually) is TO DO NOTHING. Whenever she’s near, do not do anything reckless. Don’t try to approach her and don’t expose your weapons. She is still human so she would be terrified of an armed person.
Virginia will come back in multiple occasions as she will always find you. After some time, when she finally gives you a gift, then you would know she is already on your side. Soon after, she will begin camping with you and your AI companion, Kelvin. Moreover, you can let her defend your camp from your enemies and she’ll be more than delighted to do so. However, unlike Kelvin, you cannot command Virginia. Best you can do is trust her and she’ll protect you.
The reason why you need her
Well, for starters, you may find all the weapons and equipment in the Sons of the Forest, but nothing beats acquiring an additional ally. That means you have one lesser foe on the island.
Virginia as an ally is a formidable one and is quite strong. A woman with three arms and legs may look terrifying, but she’s better than most humans. Giving her a weapon she can wield like a pistol or a shotgun would allow her to quickly erradicate tens of cannibals in an instant. Wouldn’t that be better than a couple of armed men?
