Philanthropy balances the gap between the rich and poor, and so seems to be the motive of the former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal. With his selfless actions, he brightened the Christmas of many underprivileged kids.
The Virtue of Generosity
O’Neal is known for his philanthropic activities from NFTs to major donations. In light of that, he just donated 1000 PS5 and 1000 Nintendo Switch consoles to underprivileged kids. We often see donation drives where basic necessity items like food and clothes are involved. O’Neal decided to take it one step further and provide them something they could entertain themselves with.
We hope the kids enjoy these top-notch consoles and derive some form of happiness and satisfaction from them. Anyways, to celebrate the spirit of holidays, O’Neal has showcased the virtue of generosity. The honorable and courageous former NBA player has proven himself to be a real-life knight with this move. And this is what Sir Shaquille O’Neal believes:
“My father was a drill sergeant, my mother just was a hard-working woman. They had little, but they taught me the value of giving back. They taught me the value of helping those in need. I called you know, my friend from Nintendo Switch and ordered about 1000 Switches and 1000 PS5s. I went to Walmart and got bikes. So, you know yesterday, at this little elementary school in McDonough Georgia, kids were crying, kids were happy. And that’s what it’s all about.”

Now he has proven how committed he is towards giving back to society and standing true to the value embedded by his parents. Greatness doesn’t just come from where you stand but also from what you intend to do from there. This is a classic example of a man using his power and resources for the greater good of society.
