The heartwarming rumor that BTS V contributed to the medical treatment of the mascot stray dog, Perro, from tvN’s Jinny’s Kitchen recently went viral among netizens. However, according to the confirmation of the show’s production team BTS Kim Taehyung didn’t pay for the treatments.
On May 2, a news post claiming BTS V’s generosity towards the Perro went viral through Twitter. A netizen stated that BTS Kim Taehyung paid for the vaccination and treatment of a stray dog whom he met while filming tvN show Jinny’s Kitchen. Perro approached the restaurant during filming and naturally blended into the program. He was regarded as the show’s mascot and beloved by the viewers.
The crew of Jinny’s Kitchen clarifies the rumor of BTS V paying for the treatment of Perro
The Tweet circulating online claimed that a Mexican crew member of tvN reality show Jinny’s Kitchen adopted Perro. Further stating that BTS V paid for the vaccination and treatment of Perro’s sore leg before leaving for Korea.
The Tweet introduced the story praising the generosity of the Singularity singer and was covered by multiple media outlets. However, according to the recent confirmation from Korean news outlets, the story isn’t of BTS V but the crew of Jinny’s Kitchen.
According to the coverage of Daily Sports, it wasn’t V who paid for the treatment of Perro but the drone camera staff from the production team of Jinny’s Kitchen. One of the officials from the crew expressed his gratefulness toward fans for their kind interest in Perro and clarified the news.
“I am grateful for the kind interest of fans in mascot Pero but it was the production team that helped in his treatment.” said the crew member to Daily Sports.
Although the claims of V’s good deeds related to Perro are not true, it would be good to remember it as a story of Jinny’s Kitchen and the colleagues’ kindness who were working together and blessed Perro with a new life.
BTS V’s solo track Sweet Night surpasses 300 million streams on Spotify
On April 26, BTS Kim Taehyung’s self-composed song Sweer Night surpassed 300 million streams on the music streaming platform Spotify. The K-pop idol also topped the K-Pop Male Idol Ranking conducted by NEHAN, a popular Japanese idol ranking site. He won 18,940 votes and took first place for 108 consecutive weeks.
Furthermore, he won the hearts of many fans through tvN’s reality show Seojin’s (Jinny’s Kitchen). He filmed the show in Bacalar, a small town in Mexico, and introduced Korean street food to its passionate customers. Along with BTS V, the famous Korean actors Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, and Choi Woo-shik also appeared as employees of Lee Seo-jin on the show.
