Grand Theft Auto series is one of the biggest phenomena in the gaming world in the past two decades. Rockstar Games has achieved through GTA, which most publishers only dream to achieve. Late millennials and Generation Z, especially, have grown up with the GTA series and it has become an inseparable part of their lives.
GTA 1 and 2 established the series as a boss in the gaming world; GTA 5 took it to unprecedented heights.  With their massive open-world and intriguing storylines, they very well deserved the remastered versions of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. But unfortunately, the trilogy didn’t do great and in fact, was highly criticized.
Even after taking so long, the trilogy was full of bugs and glitches which made even Cyberpunk seem like a much-refined game. Anyways, since GTA 6 is nowhere near any sort of release and the trilogy has all but failed, Rockstar has opted for a different way to please fans.
A Free Game and Classic Version
Games can turn out to be good or bad, that’s no big deal. What matters is how studios treat their fans and Rockstar has shown a certain devotion towards its fans. First of all, upon bad reception of the trilogy, it offered the classic versions of them for free. These were for those who bought the trilogy remaster. And now once again, they have come up with new ways for damage control.
Any player who bought the disappointing remasters trilogy can choose to get a free game from the following list of games:
- Grand Theft Auto 5: Premium Edition
- Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition
- Max Payne 3
- A. Noire
- Bully: Scholarship Edition
Also, you can grab a Great White Shark card for GTA Online or 55 gold bars for Red Dead Redemption Online. So, the wait still continues for a good GTA game ever since GTA 5, and till then there is not much we can do.
