Note that these are the base stats that you can further improve with upgrades. You can add weapon mods and mutations to make the gun more powerful as well.
Step-By-Step Guide to get the Ford’s Scattergun
Completing the Quest
- We should mention at the beginning that Ford’s Scattergun is the default weapon for the Explorer Archetype and you can get it by selecting this particular class right at the start of the game. However, you will need to follow the method below to get the gun if you are playing as any other class.
- Head over to the Red Throne area within Yaesha where you will be able to meet the npc called The Eternal Empress. If the area does not appear, you will need to re-roll the map in order to activate the desired quest.
- Interact respectfully with the Empress by selecting the first, second, first and then third dialogue options respectively. This will trigger the designated storyline. She will provide you with the task to defeat a boss known as the Corruptor. Play through the quest and successfully defeat the monster.
- After killing the boss, return to the empress. Once again, be respectful towards her and choose the appropriate dialogue options that praise her. In the end, kneel before her to get the Seal of the Empress.
- Keep in mind not to give her the Thaen Seed or Ornate Box upon completion of the quest. Upon doing so, the Empress will bestow you with different rewards.
Obtaining the Weapon
- After finishing the quest and getting the Seal of the Empress ring as a reward, equip it from the in-game menu. Then proceed into the Library which is located around the same area.
- You will spot a decorated symbol on the ground after reaching the appropriate location. Stand upon it while wearing the ring. Doing so will open up a path below the ground by uncovering the concealment.
- Head over to the underground area to claim your weapon. Now, the gun will be added to your roster and you can use it anytime you feel like.
