Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold over 24 million units worldwide so far, confirmed Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick during the company’s fiscal 2019 earnings call.

“Turning to Rockstar Games phenomenal hit Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to generate significant sales and to date has sold in more than 24 million units worldwide,” Strauss said. “The Titan remains tied with Grand Theft Auto V as the highest rated game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a 97 Metacritic score.”

Rockstar confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, including their Online versions, had over 90 million unique player accounts in fiscal 2018 alone. Over 200 million unique player accounts have registered and played the games since their worldwide launches.

Many times during the call, Rockstar representatives titled Red Dead Redemption 2 as “record-breaking” as the game, coupled with strong growth from NBA 2K, grew the company’s total net bookings(net sales) by 47% to a new record of $2.93 billion(i.e. an increase of over $1.9 billion).

Talking about other games, even after almost six years, Grand Theft Auto V continues to be a driving force for Take-Two as the game has sold over 110 million units across the globe. NBA 2K19, on the other hand, has sold more than 9 million units.
