In the latest mobile gaming news, Ubisoft officially announced that the tactical shooter game Rainbow Six is coming to mobile. From what we can tell so far, Rainbow Six Mobile looks like a mobile port of the PC and console version of Rainbow Six. Read on to find out more about Rainbow Six Mobile.
Rainbow Six Mobile is similar to R6 on console and PC, but it’s optimized for mobile devices
In Ubisoft’s announcement, they revealed that Rainbow Six Mobile is a “competitive and tactical FPS game with two teams of 5,” which means that it’s just like the console and PC version of the game. However, they obviously made a few changes so that the game is optimized for touch screen and mobile devices.

With that being said, we can expect Rainbow Six Mobile to be different in both the gameplay and design aspects. For the game’s mobile version, matches are shorter and the HUD will look more similar to games like PUBG and Call of Duty: Mobile.

Classic maps and operators are coming to Rainbow Six Mobile
Moreover, we will be getting maps like Bank and Border in the mobile version. As for the operators, Ubisoft hasn’t released an exact list of playable characters but they did say that “the most popular Rainbow Six operators” are coming to Rainbow Six Mobile.
Furthermore, official art from the game showcased Ash, Bandit, Caveira, Hibana, Mute, Sledge, Smoke, Twitch, Thermite, and Valkyrie. So if they’re part of the official art, we may be getting them in the mobile version soon.

R6 Mobile follows in the footsteps of Call of Duty and Apex Legends
Mobile gaming seems to be the trend for gaming companies nowadays. After Apex Legends launched with its limited region testing, Warzone has announced that it was going to have its own mobile version soon. Rainbow Six joins them as Ubisoft is now taking registration for interested beta players. If you’re interested in being a beta tester, you can sign up here.
