March 24 was a surprise for everyone in the PS5 restock scene as we all saw PS Direct making a stealth comeback. The last time PS Direct opened up a queue for the public was almost 100 days back. Could this mean PS Direct is back? Can we see more restocks from them?
According to NowInStock’s records, the last time PS Direct restocked the PS5 for the public was on November 22, 2021, around 7:19 PM EST. The latest restock happened on March 24, around 6:10 PM EST. That’s a span of 122 days in between.

PS Direct, when Sony launched the PS5, did restocks on a regular basis. The schedule shook after the global silicon chip crisis. With this latest restock, we’ll closely observe if PS Direct will make its regular comeback.

I asked a few of my restock tracking friends –
“Could this mean PS Direct is back? Can we see more restocks from them?”
Chito Gaming said, “I hope so. We haven’t seen this since the last year. I hope this is a good sign and that more restocks are coming. Fingers crossed.”
PS5 Drop said, “No clue. To be honest, if we look at what happened last year around this time, it is most likely though.”
Jake said, “I hope!!”
The recent PS Direct restock was a huge one and lasted almost 37 minutes. Which is a long time for any PS5 restock so far.
Sony sold over 17.3 million PS5 consoles as of December 2021. With games like Horizon: Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, the remastered GTA 5, and the upcoming God of War sequel, players across the globe are getting more excited.
