Bloomberg tech journalist Takashi Mochizuki wrote in a recent tweet that the PS5 design’s official reveal is near. Even if Sony doesn’t reveal the design during the expected June 3 event, we might get a sneak peek of the actual console very soon.
Why does Mochizuki think so? Because, as he mentions in one of his articles from April, mass production of the PS5 has started. This means the design of the console could get leaked. Hence, it’s better for Sony to reveal the console officially.
Here’s what he tweeted –
I expect official reveal of PS5 design is near anyway because, as I wrote in this article, mass production is starting and that means leak risk of console/console image. Given SIE trying to stay ahead of curve, reveal shouldn't be too far away. https://t.co/YTRh6klZqt

The June 3 event, which is also a contribution of Mochizuki and another Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, will mostly showcase next-gen games.
We also covered how Sony had plans for a number of presentations earlier this year, which some Sony executives canceled because they wanted to run a professional show.
Regardless, it is to be noted that Sony is still focusing on the PS4 as it has some incredible games yet to come out for the current-gen consoles. The lineup includes The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima, and third-party blockbusters like Marvel’s Avengers and Cyberpunk 2077.
So, hopefully, once we’re packed and done with the current-gen games, Sony will remove the curtains and throw some light into the future.
