Poppy Playtime x Minecraft – YouTuber Remade All Mobs

Minecraft. A groundbreaking creative building game that has left a mark on gaming.

Poppy Playtime. The new breakout star of horror games has become super popular and continues to do so today.

These two gaming titles are loved by fans all over the world. Two worlds too far from each other to meet…until now.

The Mind behind the Magic

One YouTuber was crazy enough to combine the two and come up with the creative idea of remaking the Minecraft mobs in the game into Poppy Playtime characters. Meet halvetone, a Minecraft YouTuber whose main content revolves around Minecraft and Minecraft customization. 

His creative mind has led to colorful content such as turning mobs into Marvel Superheroes, modifying stats of in-game materials, and even making super-strong boss mobs to play against.

For his next project, he decided to turn Minecraft mobs into Poppy Playtime characters. For this endeavor, he made use of a little tool called Blockbench. Blockbench is software that allows someone like halvetone to edit the low poly models of the Minecraft mobs in the game.

With this, he can move on to the next step which is making the Characters. Through effort and some creativity, he can turn a once dull and shambling zombie into…Poppy. 

Now that you know what takes place behind the transformation, let now take a look at the amazing creations that were made.

Poppy

First up is Poppy herself, the namesake of the game. To make Poppy, halftone decided to use the Zombie Minecraft mob as a base. To get her correct size, he had the Zombie mob spawn a baby zombie for it to be the perfect fit. Quite adorable!

Kissy Missy

Next up is Kissy Missy, a mysterious friendly character that helps you in the game. The Endermen mob was used as a base mob due to its long slender arms and legs, similar to Kissy Missy. Despite its smile, the empty eyes give off a creepy vibe.

Mommy Long Legs

This time it’s Mommy Long Legs’ turn. This spooky and downright terrifying antagonist makes use of the Spider mob as its base. While the elasticity and noodle-like appendages might not be as similar, that terrifying hollow face is still equally terrifying.

Bunzo

Next in line was this terrifyingly adorable bunny. Bunzo was remade using the Creeper mob as a base. This led to some…explosive results. Despite being a scary monster, this Minecraft Bunzo is also quite a cute one.

PJ Pug-a-Pillar

For the next character, they decided to pick PJ Pug-A-Pillar using the Fox mob as a base model to edit. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions of the fox model, the pug-a-pillar did not work the way it should have ideally. This made it unintentionally scarier. It does look similar however when standing still.

Boogie Bot

For this tiny friend, the Chicken mob was used as a base. The small size matched with his cute appearance is a perfect match made in heaven for this model remake mini-project.

Baby Long Legs

To make this creepy baby, the Pig mob was used as the base for it. It took a bit of stretching and molding of the model to fit, but the final output does look quite nice and accurate.

Daddy Long Legs

To match with Mommy Long Legs and Baby Long Legs, of course, we include Daddy Long Legs! His model uses a Nether mob, the Strider, as the base model. The waddle and twitches made by the Strider make this one extra spooky!

The Secret Huggy Wuggy

This Huggy Huggy is based on a secret picture of Huggy Huggy hidden in the game files. The Huggy Wuggy has empty hollow eyes and a terrifying smile to match. An Iron Golem is the mob used as a base for this iconic character.

Cat Bee

Fittingly, a Bee mob was used for this one. The outcome was a cute-looking model that stands out from all the terrifying models so far. Truly adorable!

Bron

To make Bron, halvetone makes use of the Cow mob which he then contorts into making this dinosaur character. The aloof expression manages to capture the vibe of Bron pretty accurately too.

Candy Cat

Last but not the least, it’s Candy Cat! To make this bright and cheerful cat, we of course use the only Minecraft mob perfect for this character. The Cat mob! The model captures the goofiness and is also a pettable mob!
