There is something about the controller of the oceanic element of the environment. And there is something about Kyogre – the super-ancient legendary. If you’ve been stuck with the Pokemon Go Primal Kyogre raids, and are curious how to get one yourself – we got you covered.
What are Primal Evolutions more ‘boosts’ than ‘evolution?’

Taking down a Primal Kyogre is no small feat. Heck, even a normal Kyogre would be massive enough. But a Kyogre with Primal Reversion sounds dangerous. This is besides the fact that Primal Raid bosses have always been scary.
Pokémon Go Tour: Hoenn has introduced a new transformation for Groudon and Kyogre, allowing the Gen III Legendaries to undergo Primal Reversion. Their impressive strength makes Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre difficult to capture. However, any player has the potential to obtain these powerful Pokémon in Pokémon Go. So ultimately it’s not a matter of restriction. But only power-play capacity.
Why it’s necessary to be well prepared for a Pokemon Go Primal Kyogre Raid

- To maximize your chances of success against a Primal Raid Boss one usually suggests recruiting at least 10 skilled trainers with high levels and powerful counters. Defeating a Primal Raid Boss is no easy feat.
This is relevant because the faster you defeat the boss, the more Primal Energy you will receive, making it crucial to approach the battle with the utmost readiness.
Keep in mind that Primal Raids are the most challenging raids featured in Pokémon GO to date. If one’s teams are not optimal, one should add even more trainers.
How to get Primal Kyogre in Pokemon Go

This part is vital primarily because you need to catch the Primal Raid boss. Although upon catching them they do not appear in their primal form. They appear only in their base forms. To catch Kyogre you need the following CP –
- 2260 – 2351 CP no weather boost
- 2825 – 2939 CP boosted by Sunny weather boost
Converting a Normal Kyogre
In order to obtain Primal Kyogre in Pokemon GO, you must convert a regular Kyogre into its primal form using Kyogre Primal Energy. This energy can be collected by completing designated research tasks or by emerging victorious in raids against Primal Kyogre until you have amassed a total of 400 units.
Once you have gathered enough energy, you can activate the Primal Reversion button to transform your standard Kyogre into Primal Kyogre.
Doing it again?
- But 400 units is only initially. And this will last for only 8 hours. Afterward, you need 80 Mega Energy just to evolve the same Kyogre again in the future.
- However, there is a cooldown period afterward. After this cooldown period, Primal Evolution again is free. And this period is shorter depending upon how high your Primal Pokemon’s mega level is.
A Primal Kyogre boost will not only raise its stats but will also grant you certain in-game bonuses. And as mentioned before, every time you use the Primal Boost on Kyogre, each time the cost reduces a little. And its Primal Level increases.
