PlayStation Plus Games Of August 2019 Unveiled By Mistake

While the PlayStation Plus games offered for the month of July have been available for less than two weeks, it appears that a user has already spotted elements indicating which will be the next two free games in August.

The PlayStation Plus is definitely talking about this in recent days. After a sudden last-minute change to the July deal, which saw Quantic Dream’s Detroit Become Human take the place of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 without Konami even being aware of it, it seems that the two games offered for the month of August are already known.

Indeed, if we believe the site Glitched, the line-up of the PlayStation Plus offer for the end of the summer would be composed of Star Wars Battlefront II (DICE) and UFC 3 (EA Canada). But be careful though, this is only a rumor at the moment. The site in question specifies moreover that it holds this information of one of its readers, which noticed that the two games were listed on the PlayStation Store with the tag “free” of PlayStation Plus.

There are several reservations about the plausibility of such a choice. On the one hand, it would still be surprising if Sony made the choice to devote its month exclusively to Electronic Arts, which is the publisher of these two titles. On the other hand, it is all the more surprising that we are now just ten days from the launch of EA Access on the PlayStation 4. Nevertheless, this is not necessarily impossible either, especially for Star Wars Battlefront II that could prepare players for the arrival of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order next November.

Anyway, Sony has not reacted to this rumor yet. Perhaps they will not, in which case it will probably be necessary to wait until the end of the month to know if the information was correct or not. In the meantime, if you had planned to buy one of these games, it might be wiser to wait before going to the cash register, just in case.
