Broderick Stephen Harvey Sr., more commonly known as Steve Harvey, is famous for being an American television host, actor, and comedian. He helms hit shows like “Judge Steve Harvey,” a court comedy based on arbitration, the “Steve Harvey Morning Show,” “Family Feud,” “Celebrity Family Feud,” and “Family Feud Africa.” He has achieved more than he expected, along with two Marconi Awards, fourteen NAACP Image Awards, and seven Daytime Emmy Awards. And recently, Steve Harvey found himself trending on Twitter after rumors that his wife, Marjorie, allegedly cheated on him. Now, before we jump in on this hot tea, let us dig more and know the past and present partners of the famous Steve Harvey.
Marcia Harvey (1982-1994)
Marcia Harvey is an author best known as one of Steve Harvey’s ex-wives. Despite being the first wife of the now-famous comedian and life coach, Marcia lives a very private life. Marcia and Steve met at a mutual friend’s reception party long before they achieved where they are now. They eventually married in 1980, when Steve was, at that time, working as an insurance salesman and Marcia worked at “Saks Fifth Avenue.” Two years later, they were blessed with twin daughters.
However, reports stated that by 1990, due to Steve’s dream of having a career in entertainment, Marcia and Steve were believed to have already grown apart. By 1994, Marcia and Steve were finally divorced due to unknown reasons. This happened despite Marcia’s pregnancy with their third child. Even though Marcia and Steve went their separate ways, both became successful. Marcia succeeded after launching her fashion line and is also a professional writer.
Mary Lee Harvey (1996-2005)
Now, this one is the messiest. Mary Lee worked as a make-up artist before marrying her now ex-husband, Steve Harvey. Mary met Steve in the late eighties in a mall in Arlington, Texas. Despite knowing each other for more than a decade, Mary said yes to him after seven years of proposal, which blossomed into them having a son. Their marriage was going well, so people were shocked to hear about their divorce in 2005. At the time, Mary accused Steve of having an affair with another woman, who later became Steve’s third wife, Marjorie Elaine Harvey.
Unlike Marcia and Steve’s split, Mary and Steve’s Divorce was messy. Steve denied the allegations, and they both fought for the custody of their child. Mary resorted to the public as she asked for support. She then revealed how Steve allegedly abused her psychologically and physically. Soon after, Steve Harvey took Mary to court for an injunction against her. He won, and she was told not to discuss the case details with the public. Unfortunately, Mary lost custody of her only son and changed her forever.
Marjorie Elaine Harvey (2007-present)
Marjorie and Steve both met in 1990. At the moment, Steve was currently married to Marcia but later on separated. Many years later, in 2005, when Steve was again in the middle of a controversial divorce, his bodyguard suggested that he try to reconnect with Marjorie, stating how he’d only seen Steve happy when he was with Marjorie. In 2007, Steve and Marjorie tied the knot. Steve took in Marjorie and her other children and blended their families, creating seven kids.
But, the tables might have just turned against Steve. Recently, rumors spread on the internet that Marjorie cheated on Steve with the celebrity’s bodyguard and personal chef. Although this was later debunked by one of his friends, the rumor had already broken out and gone viral. However, at the Invest Fest 2023, Steve broke his silence and stated that he and his wife were “doing fine.”
