December 1, 2022 – The Disney+ content showcase had some major teasers and additions to the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of these are a new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the first look at Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, and the confirmation of a second season for Loki’s Disney+ series. However, the most intriguing news during the showcase was the revelation that Korean superstar, Park Seo-Joon, will be joining the MCU through “The Marvels”.
Something that was thought to be a rumor a year ago turned out to be true all along. With another Korean actor joining the ranks of MCU, which comic book hero or character will Park Seo-Joon be portraying?

Park Seo-Joon’s possible character in “The Marvels”
Seo-Joon was confirmed to play a huge role in the movie but any detail about his character was never shared during the showcase. Although nobody is sure if the Itaewon Class actor will be playing a superpowered character or will only be a side character, people on the internet are already guessing his character. Below is every Marvel character which Park Seo-Joon could play in his upcoming MCU movie.
Amadeus Cho
Among all of the names mentioned here, Amadeus Cho or Brawn could be what PSJ could be playing as.
Amadeus Cho is a 19-year-old Korean-American genius who succeeded Bruce Banner’s Hulk. As one of the most intelligent persons on Earth, Cho has successfully utilized his Hulk incantation as an advantage rather than a liability. If Seo-Joon debuted as Cho, this would support the introduction of the Young Avengers into the MCU even more.

Tae-Won also known as Taegukgi
Another character Park could portray is the South Korean national hero, Tae-Won.
Tae-Won, also known as Taegukgi, is also the leader of Korea’s Tiger Division or what seems to be their superhuman response team in case of a disaster. This character possesses superhuman strength, flight, and energy beams which sounds a lot like Superman, doesn’t it?

Noh-Varr
Now, this one also looks to be a potential character for Park Seo-Joon.
Noh-Varr is a member of the Kree race but resides in a different dimension (Earth-200080). Captain Marvel was initially a warrior for the Kree kingdom but soon left due to differences. But, because of the incursion Doctor Strange made, there could be a possibility that Noh-Varr would arrive on Earth 616. Moreover, Noh-Varr is one of the openly gay superheroes in Marvel comics.
Park has starred in hit Korean shows like Itaewon Class, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior, Fight For My Way and She Was Pretty. Park Seo-Joon will be joining Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, and Samuel L. Jackson. Captain Marvel’s sequel titled “The Marvels” is set to be released next year.
