Nintendo is sending out Mario Kart Tour closed beta codes to those who applied for it (and got selected) in late April this year. The closed beta is exclusive to Android although the company plans to release the game on iOS in the near future.
The closed beta runs from May 22 to June 4 exclusively for Android users. As posted by Twitter user siinarei_rin000, they’ve received an official mail from Nintendo informing about the beta and its procedure.

Thank you very much for applying for the Mario Kart Tour closed beta test. As a result of the lottery, you were elected in the closed beta test. Closed beta test period – 20 May 2019, 14:59 (Japan Time, i.e. 11:29 am IST/10:59 pm Pacific)
Details of the participation procedure will be notified by email once again as soon as the preparation for the closed beta test is completed. Please wait for a while until the Mario Kart Tour closed beta test starts.
The game’s official website contains information only regarding the closed beta. In their earnings statement, Nintendo wrote, “In the mobile business, we have plans to release Dr. Mario World and Mario Kart Tour. In addition, we will strive to expand the business by ensuring that more consumers can continue to enjoy the applications we’ve released already.”
We don’t know when Mario Kart Tour will be released but we speculate Nintendo will take a stance once the beta ends. We’ll keep you updated as new details develop.
