The publishing company for Genshin Impact has moved to Cognosphere in the Epic Games Store. Despite the fact that the game is still very much a miHoYo product, the Cognosphere transfer may have some future implications for Genshin Impact.
MiHoYo released Genshin Impact on Epic Games in June of this year and owing to recent adjustments, a modification has appeared on the store page.
COGNOSPHERE
Genshin Impact announced in a recent HoYoLAB article that their Epic Games publishing business has changed to Cognosphere PTE. LTD. The transition is already evident on Epic Games, and Cognosphere will be responsible for Genshin Impact’s publishing tasks for the foreseeable future.

Genshin Impact is the latest miHoYo game to make the switch to Cognosphere. Other miHoYo games, notably Tears of Themis, recently changed publishers.
While the cause for the change has yet to be revealed, Genshin has stated that its publishing department would continue to produce high-quality work. The only widely circulated rumor about the Cognosphere transition appears to be about censoring for the time being.
MiHoYo seems to create a new corporation just for the purpose of releasing Genshin. According to speculations, these advances are in place in order to circumvent government game rules.

- China has recently enacted harsher video game laws, prohibiting children from playing online games during school hours. On weekends and holiday evenings, minors are only able to play for an hour per day.
- Same-sex partnerships and feminine-designed male characters like Xingqiu and Venti in video games have also been prohibited by government rules. If we will believe the stories, the Cognosphere transition will arrive as a result of the censoring.
- Genshin may have taken a step away from Chinese censorship with the new adjustment. For the same reasons, other miHoYo games may transfer to Cognosphere, but gamers will have to wait and see.
