New Details Revealed About Cyberpunk 2077’s Hardcore Mode

After unveiling the release date of Cyberpunk 2077, the Polish developers have begun to unveil so much new information about their game. For example, we have discovered that there will be several prologues, which will change the background of V, and we have also learned that we will be able to attack many NPCs, but not the children and characters important to the plot.

Now, through a recent interview with WCCF Tech’s microphones, the UI director Alvin Liu explained that there will be different levels of difficulty. Exactly as with The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, there will be settings designed for players who do not want to work too hard. But, at the same time, there will be levels designed for those who want the maximum difficulty.

“The funniest part will be choosing ‘Hardcore’: in this the interface is disabled. It will be a real challenge for many players.”

We will therefore not have any indication on the screen: we will not have the compass, life points, ammunition and so on.

Liu then explained that the team’s concern is with The Witcher fans who may not be used to playing a first-person shooter. For this reason, not only will low difficulties be present, but there will also be weapons designed to not worry too much about aiming, such as the “smart gun” whose shots seek out opponents automatically, and bullets are slower and weaker.

It has also been revealed that there will be dynamic weather and that the NPCs will react accordingly. For example, if it rains the characters will seek shelter, also because sometimes the rain will be acidic. We remind you that Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16th 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
