New Details Have Been Released On Death Stranding’s Heartman

We are only a few months away from the release of the highly anticipated Death Stranding by Hideo Kojima. The public’s hype is becoming more and more palpable. We are still unaware of everything the plot can tell, as much as we are on the characters present within what can be defined as another Kojima masterpiece.

On the occasion of the Comic-Con 2019 in San Diego, Hideo Kojima intervened to talk again about Death Stranding. This time of director Nicolas Winding Refn who, as we know, lent his face to the character of Heartman.

In the clip, we saw Heartman waking up while the main character Sam (played by Norman Reedus) watched him. Heartman then began to explain his condition, and he likes to collect music and movies that he can enjoy in 20 minutes. As explained later by Kojima, Heartman, once awakened, can only live for 21 minutes, followed by three minutes of apparent death.

The director also revealed that Heartman spends his little time awake in search of his family, which he lost during the event nicknamed precisely: Death Stranding. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how the story evolves with this character.

“Besieged by death at every turn, Sam Bridges must challenge a world completely transformed by Death Stranding,” reads the official synopsis. “Taking the stranded remains of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of Death Stranding? What will Sam find out about the way to go? A genre that defines the gaming experience contains these answers.”

We recall that Death Stranding is scheduled for November 8, 2019 exclusively for PS4.
