What is Quarterback all about?
Netflix and NFL’s first-ever partnership takes a look at each season of the National Football League (NFL), this time with the quarterbacks’ point of view.
- The docuseries revolves around the 2022 season, from the beginning to its conclusion. Quarterback follows the life of the NFL quarterbacks on and outside of the field.
- This time around, more in-depth and exclusive scenes would be offered in this upcoming Quarterback docuseries. You can see your favorite quarterbacks in huddles with teammates, and simply with their families at home.
- NFL Films, 2PM Productions, and Netflix join together to produce this Quarterback series. “We are thrilled to partner with Netflix and could not be more excited for our first project together,” says Ross Ketover, NFL Films Senior Executive, in a Netflix blog.
Who stars in this Netflix x NFL Quarterback?
This Quarterback series would follow the lives of three NFL quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota, respectively. The documentary would allow its viewers and fans to see how Mahomes, Cousins, and Mariota face challenges in the field and their lives.

- NFL, for the first time ever, allowed their quarterbacks to be mic’d for every game in the season. Of course, we can expect that this includes behind-the-scenes footage.
- Are you ready to see the three quarterbacks and their lives outside NFL? Mahomes expressed his gratefulness and excitement about the journey of this documentary. He states that the crew has been present in their family events, and memories of bagging a trophy back to Kansas City.
- Further, the Netflix x NFL series would feature some huge moments for the 2022 season. This includes Mahomes’ NFL total offense record, Cousins’ greatest comeback in an NFL game, and Mariota as starting quarterback for Atlanta Falcons.

This Netflix docu-series premieres a few months from now. We can expect the Quarterback to hit the streaming platform in the summer of 2023, around Q2 of this year.
- However, no specific date yet for its release, but we sure have to wait for that. We’ll probably hear more information from them after a month or two, so watch out!
